Conan O’Brien will host shows from Comic-Con 2015

Conan O’Brien is looking to get a jump on all the Dave, Jimmy and Jimmy talk by announcing his own late-night move next summer. He’s going to become the first late-night host to broadcast his show from San Diego’s Comic-Con International.

“Conan” will be in San Diego in 2015, doing the TBS show from the Spreckels Theatre from July 8-12.

With Comic-Con such a major destination for Hollywood talent these days, especially the kind starring in big summer tent-pole movies, the guest lineup for O’Brien’s shows that week should be impressive.

On the set: movies and TV

Taking their shows on the road is big with the late-night hosts these days. Jimmy Kimmel recently hosted a week of shows from Austin, Texas, to coincide with the SXSW music conference. And O’Brien last week hosted a run of shows in Dallas.

O’Brien has long showed a penchant for genre entertainment, hosting a “The Walking Dead”-themed “Conan” episode featuring five of the zombie hit’s cast members and doing a regular video game feature called “Clueless Gamer.”
