Democratic nominee for New York City mayor Bill de Blasio attends a press conference outside the United Nations Headquarters on September 23, 2013 in New York City. At a media event held by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, he and other NYC leaders spoke out urging the Iranian government to halt nuclear enrichment.

If Bill de Blasio wanted to be the first to announce that Goldman Sachs executive Alicia Glen would be his deputy mayor for housing and economic development, he should have started his press conference on time. While the mayor-elect kicked off Monday’s event half an hour late, the Daily News reports that the “always-punctual” Partnership for New York City released a statement praising the yet-to-be announced appointment right on time. We don’t know why @HowLateWasBdB was deleted, but it wasn’t for lack of material.
