Profile
With walls frosted in candy pink and treatments that borrow their most delectable ingredients straight from a baker’s pantry, this boutique bares closer resemblance to a cupcake shop than a nail salon. Fortunately for its young and body-conscious Clinton Hill clientele, the treats served to those perched high on chocolate brown thronesbrown sugar pedicures and coconut-vanilla manicuresare 100 percent calorie-free. Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent polishes are on hand (and foot) for all nail services, but die-hard devotees of OPI and Essie will be relieved to find that owner Tricialee Riley always keeps their favorite bottles in stock. The former MAC makeup artist and business manager learned a thing or two about helping women put their best face forward during her tenure with the million-dollar makeup company; now she leads a team of 10 cosmetologists who offer applications and lessons in the salon’s private makeup room. (Waxing and eyebrow and lash services are also offered.) Pratt students, new moms, and busy professionals who don’t have time to spare for a full-length treatment can keep their skin softand mouths wateringby picking up one of Polish’s own brand of confection-scented lotions or body scrubs.
ExtraNo need to wait til morning to schedule a polish change or an eyebrow wax: Night owls can book their next treatment online on the salon’s interactive website.
