Linda Allard is the creative talent behind the modern incarnation of Ellen Tracy,
which began as a blouse company in 1949. She started with the
label as an assistant designer and was promoted within two years
to the position of Director of Design. Under her supervision,
the label -- long regarded as the working woman's one-stop shop
for office wear -- expanded to include a full range of classic
separates, shoes, evening-wear and accessories. Her cleanly
tailored, feminine clothes, paired with accents of sheer fabric,
saturated colors, and the line's own minimalist jewelry, continue
to bridge the gap between clothes for the office and clothes
for a night on the town.
