It all started for Ron Chereskin back in 1975 with a little bit of disco and a
lot of polyester, as the designer entered the men's market with
a line of neckwear and disco shirts. Today, Chereskin is known
not just for his popular, well-priced men's wear collections
but also for his vocal support of the Humane Society: In his
Fall 2000 show, the savvy marketer had adoptable puppies on
the runway in the arms of celebrities, as muscular male models
in racy swimwear walked beside them.
