Work on £1.1m water storage under way

Guernsey Water said it expected the work to be completed by the summer

Work has started to replace the roof of Guernsey's largest treated water storage reservoir.
Guernsey Water said it should ensure the tank on Forest Road would "keep serving the island for decades."
The refurbishment is expected to be completed by the summer, and is expected to cost more than £1m, the firm said.
Carl Falla, capital delivery manager at Guernsey Water, said the project was "part of a long-term rolling programme to ensure our reservoirs can continue to supply high quality water".
The Forest Road water complex is made up of two tanks and a tower, which Guernsey Water said could store 23m litres, supplying 10,200 homes.
The current project is focused on the west tank, which is nearly 60 years old.
It will be out of action for the duration of the work, but Mr Falla said customers "should not have noticed a difference".
"The works being undertaken are complex and required close work and liaison with industry experts from across the UK," he added.
