Five Front serves creative comfort food in a historic building under the span of the Brooklyn Bridge. The front dining room can accommodate up to 40, and there’s a beautiful garden that seats 50 in the warmer months. The pastry chef makes wedding cakes, and the entire space can be rented out on a Friday or Saturday night, with prices starting at $8,000. Chef Paul Vicino’s menu highlights include curried mussels, Chesapeake Bay crab cakes, and mahi mahi in a lemon beurre blanc.

This circa-1848 landmark building, once home to Jean-Michel Basquiat, was recently converted into a rambling, three-story restaurant with garden. The third-floor lounge can be used as a private dining room to seat up to 45 (starting at $1,500) and features seasonally inspired dishes such as spring leg of lamb with a morel-and-ramp ragout.

The famed Pool Room in this Philip Johnson–designed restaurant has a private indoor terrace that overlooks a white marble reflecting pool. For 40 to 100 people (at $125 each), you can create a set menu of items such as bison carpaccio, black bass, and sautéed foie gras, or crisp farmhouse duck.

The warmth of Danny Meyer’s Gramercy Tavern can be yours in a private room for 22 ($100–$160 per person). For an outer-borough treat, host your rehearsal dinner at Ici, located in a beautiful Fort Greene brownstone. The dining room seats 50 for a formal dinner, and there’s also a garden that can host a cocktail reception in the warmer seasons. Dinners range from $50 to $100 per person, and menu highlights include chilled cucumber-and-yogurt soup, roasted leg of lamb, and a wild striped bass with cabbage and carrots.

This Italian mainstay’s private room, which boasts rustic stucco walls and a wood-burning fireplace, looks out onto a garden where terra-cotta murals and a fountain make you feel like you’re in southern Italy. The room seats between 50 and 70 guests, who will feast on regional dishes from Apulia (the heel of Italy’s boot) such as homemade pasta and roasted rack of lamb with fava-bean purée and dandelions ($125 to $150 per person includes an open bar). The other option is to rent out the whole restaurant to fit 100 to 125 (the price may vary depending on the day of the week).
