Wales will be without influential midfielder Jess Fishlock for Tuesday's Nations League game in Sweden.
Record cap-holder Fishlock, 38, has not travelled to Gothenburg because of injury.
Wales' all-time leading scorer came into this camp having missed her most recent club match for Seattle Reign and was an unused substitute in Friday's 2-1 home defeat by Denmark.
Fishlock won her latest, and 160th, cap as a second-half substitute in February's 1-1 draw with Sweden at Wrexham's Stok Racecourse.
She had started the 1-0 loss in Italy three days earlier in Wales' opening Nations League Group A4 game.
Wales boss Rhian Wilkinson says it was a difficult decision not to bring Fishlock to Sweden.
"Jess is someone who would play every game," Wilkinson said.
"It was with her and in combination with the fantastic medical team in Seattle as well as in Wales [that the decision to leave Fishlock in Wales was made].
"We had a conversation about how to get Jess to be feeling the best possible. She would keep going and going and going, but we felt this was the right time to get her rest and recovery to make sure she, as well, is feeling at her best possible [level] next [international window]."
Wilkinson calms fears over Wales injuries
Wilkinson allayed any fears over Fishlock being a doubt for Wales' next Nations League window.
"It's not a big concern. This was a scenario of 'do we bring a player to Sweden to just travel'. With her leadership, it was a big conversation of course. She's an important part of our team," Wilkinson added.
"But looking at the wellbeing of a player, if it is unnecessary travel and if I didn't intend to play her then she can be at home recovering."
Wilkinson's side are bottom of the four-team group with a single point from three games.
Wilkinson is also without experienced players Sophie Ingle, Kayleigh Barton and Ceri Holland for Tuesday's match.
Midfielder Holland left the field on a stretcher on Friday and was taken to hospital with her right leg in a protective boot after a heavy collision.
However, the Football Association of Wales has since said the injury is "not as serious as first feared".
"I think we all feared the worst-case scenario," Wilkinson added.
