Formula 1 heads to Bahrain for the fourth race of the Formula 1 season from 11-13 April.

Lando Norris leads the drivers' championship with 62 points but Max Verstappen's win in Japan last weekend means he is just one point behind.

Oscar Piastri took pole position on Saturday for the Bahrain Grand Prix from Mercedes' George Russell with Norris down in sixth.

Commentary of the race will be available across BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra, BBC Sounds and the BBC Sport website and app.

What's the Bahrain GP weather forecast?

While pre-season testing in February saw some rain and cooler conditions in Bahrain, hot and dry weather is forecast for this weekend's grand prix.

For Sunday's race start, which is 6pm local time (4pm UK), temperatures are expected to be about 28C - slightly cooler than the previous two days of track action.

The Bahrain Grand Prix opened the season last year as Verstappen claimed a dominant win.

He led then Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez home ahead of Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.

Charles Leclerc recovered from dropping to fifth early on to pass Mercedes' George Russell for fourth in the closing laps.
