It was a memorable performance by junior catcher Konnor Smith of Torrance on Wednesday against Leuzinger.
He hit four home runs, tying the Southern Section record, in a 19-0 victory. Two of the home runs were grand slams. He finished with 11 RBIs.
The Southern Section record for RBIs is 14 set in 1986 by St. John Bosco’s Monty McDermott, now the athletic director.
