Girls’ volleyball: Palisades wins its 29th City Section title

Palisades won its 29th City Section championship in girls’ volleyball on Saturday night, defeating Granada Hills in four sets in the Division I final at Roybal.
It was the first title for Coach Carlos Gray. Tielar Richards had a big match in the middle for Palisades, whihc also received strong play from Sadie Gray.
In Division II, Taft swept Sylmar in three sets, all by scores of 25-21, to win the championship. Andrea Bosnic contributed 18 kills. Lara Janjic added 12 kills. Madison Pincus had six serving aces.
In Division III, Verdugo Hills defeated Franklin in four sets.
