Apparently Monday night, he was going by “Johnny Middle-finger.”
Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was caught on camera holding up his middle finger as he ran away from the Washington Redskins’ sideline during Monday night’s exhibition game. It was unclear whether Manziel was directing his gesture toward Redskins players or fans.
The image of Manziel flipping the bird immediately flooded social media. The Browns went on to lose the game, 24-23.
After the game, Manziel expressed regret for making the gesture.
“I get words exchanged with me throughout the entirety of the game, game after game,” Maziel said. “I need to be smarter than that.”
The former Texas A&M star is known for his football prowess, almost as much as his party lifestyle.
He is in a battle for the starting Browns job with veteran journeyman and incumbent Brian Hoyer.
