If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair but the hair spray and electric toothbrush. We asked athlete, entrepreneur, and content creator Noah Beck — whose gender-neutral underwear brand, IPHIS, launched this summer — about the exfoliant that transforms his face, his prized vintage BMW, and the Prada sunglasses he has in four colors.

Growing up with two sisters, I have always been aware of and into investing in my skin. I love Aquaphor. A friend of mine put me onto it a couple years ago, and now I have a tube with me at all times. Before I go to bed, if I have any spots that are feeling dry, I’ll put some on and sleep with the Aquaphor on my face. I also use it for chapped lips, especially living in dry California.

I wear it pretty much every single day. At this point, it’s just a staple in my everyday life. I have the 18-inch one, but I usually layer it with the 20-inch one. I wear them in the shower. I don’t know if it’s good to wear jewelry in the shower. But, I mean, it’s been two years and they are still in great shape. When I first kind of got into social media and this life here in L.A., I’d go over to my friend’s house to collab and make videos; back then it would have been the hype house and you’d see all these guys with big bling necklaces. That’s not really my speed. But I was over there with a chain from who knows where and my neck’s turning green. As I started to make money, I invested in a better chain. I have definitely gotten good use out of my David Yurman necklaces.

I figured when I took this call, I would talk about other things. I just didn’t want to, like, take up a space on the list with a Hydro Flask. But I feel better mentally and physically when I prioritize and do the right things, like drinking water. I try to stay consistent with drinking around a gallon a day. I can’t say I hit it all the time. And sometimes I go over. Sometimes it’s just boring. But I love this particular Hydro Flask.

This men’s moisturizer is one of those things that is concrete in my skin-care routine and it has been for, I would say, a little over two years. I first found out about it from someone who did my grooming. And now I love this stuff. I think it is one of the most essential products in my skin-care routine. Even randomly throughout the day if my face is feeling dry, I’ll get it out and put it all over. It just instantly rejuvenates your skin, which is amazing.

I’m the kind of a person, if I find something that fits the right way, I’ll buy it in multiple colors. So I have four different colors of these sunglasses. I was fortunate enough to work with Prada and they sent me a pair. And I was like, Oh my God, I love these. I think they figured out how much I liked them by how much I posted in them. So they sent me a couple more. Then there was one color that I didn’t have that I really wanted. So I just went and bought them. I have the white pair, the cream, the brown-speckled-type pair, and then black. I have a pair that just sits in my car. Whenever I travel around, I’ll just throw those on.

I love my skin-care routine, and I usually don’t take on new products. But I was on set shooting for something a while back and I had someone doing grooming for me who was like, Do you mind if I do some exfoliating on your skin, because it’ll look nice on-camera? And it was like night and day. It’s crazy how much better and tighter it felt. So I’m a big advocate for this exfoliant for sure.

Sometimes, if I have extra energy at night, I’ll be like, I’m just gonna go walk on the treadmill or get a run in before I go to bed. Or if I’m not really feeling like a full workout, I’ll at least go walk on the treadmill. It gets your heart rate going. But you could also literally set it for three miles per hour on a high incline and just go on your phone. And you’re burning calories and sweating while on your phone. So that’s kind of why, because that’s what I tend to do a lot. I think it’s the easiest and most efficient way to burn some calories. I like to edit videos and photos that I have or go through my emails and clear all that out. It’s kind of a productive time for me on the treadmill, which is funny. And it’s great because the time goes by so fast. It’ll be 30 minutes and I’ll be dripping sweat. And I’ll clear all my emails and edit a few things.

I got it for $9,000. It’s a Sunday top-down beach cruiser. I’ve always had a thing for older vintage-looking cars. I think they’re just really cool. And when I fortunately started to gain financial security I was like, Maybe I could get a cool little Sunday Malibu cruiser. It’s manual, which is fun sometimes. But also very stressful in L.A. with all the hills and all the stoplights. So I don’t tend to take it out too much. When I do, it’ll be at night on more of an open road. It is just such a vibe to drive it around L.A. Usually with an older car like this, you might have to take it to the shop. But I drove it right off the lot. The guy I bought it from lives in Hermosa Beach and he was just this cool guy who had had it for a while. It was a very smooth exchange.

First of all, IPHIS is my brand, so obviously that’s what I wear. They have completely taken over my drawer space. There are three styles of waistbands out right now. And I chose the classics because I wear them all the time. I’m wearing the gray boxer briefs. I mean, I’m not naïve to the fact that a lot of the way that I gained my social-media following was because I was dancing with my shirt off. I always just had Calvin Kleins on and always had that waistband showing, and I was like, It’d be so cool to own something and wear it organically and have people ask, “What brand is that?” And then be like, “Oh, that’s his brand.” Boxer briefs are my go-tos. I do own a few pairs of briefs, and typically when my laundry is running low, I’m like, All right, I’ll go to the briefs. That’s when I know I need to do laundry.
