This fashion month saw a lot of playful accessories and indulging of childhood sensibilities, both on the runways and the streets. From Chanel’s grocery-store set to Moschino’s happy-meal themed outfits, the season’s fashions are full of whimsical touches — a sentiment perhaps best evidenced by the range of quirky bags showgoers toted around with them. Beginning with the abundance of the Fendi fur key chain, street-style bags and clutches only got more imaginative as the weeks went on.
There were furry bags, iridescent bags, and bags shaped like strawberries. Stylist Elisa Nalin accessorized with a purse that looked like a cookie box, while Anna Dello Russo carried around a plastic clutch shaped like a gummy bear. Natalie Joos had a deck-of-cards-inspired clutch, while Harper’s Bazaar Thailand editor-in-chief Duang Poshyanonda carried a bag that was shaped like a mustache.
