This “Puffy Clouds Embroidery Dress” was made in a Swiss embroidery mill. Each flower motif is made of organza and hand-stuffed with three meters of yarn. Jacobs’s design studio, which commissioned the fabric, paid €8,000 a meter. The fabric took three people one week to make. The dress will be lent out on a limited basis to celebrities and magazines, and then, at the end of the season, it will be retired to the archives. It’s also available by special order for $28,000.
