Any big summer plans?
My boyfriend and I just bought an apartment in Stockholm; we’re moving in later this month. I want it to look like Mad Men—like fifties- and sixties-inspired.
Do you watch the show?
I don’t. I’ve been too busy with The Wire.
Does season 2 speak to your line of work, since it mostly takes place on Baltimore’s shipping docks?
Yes! One of our biggest jobs is to prevent narcotics from coming into Sweden via shipping containers. I started using slang I learned on the show—like “the 5-0”—at work, but no one understood. So I had to go back to saying “the police.”
