If you were to ask Annelise Peterson, director of client relations at Net-A-Porter, to describe her style, she would say minimal. However, her pink-on-pink bedroom tells a different story. When Peterson called on Jesse Carrier of the interior design firm Carrier and Company to renovate a walk-in closet, the minimalist got carried away. The project snowballed into a full-on bedroom makeover inspired by the years Peterson spent in France as a child. “It’s a love letter to that period of my life,” she says. “This room swept me off my feet.”

The lamp bases are from Restoration Hardware, and the shades are custom-made by Dekar. The chests used as side tables are vintage mid-century finds by interior designer Jesse Carrier.

Peterson found the mirrors at a church sale the year she graduated from college. “I’ve always loved them, and told Jesse, ‘You have to work these in, too,’” she says.

The thirties brass vanity holds Peterson’s jewelry. It’s a vintage piece Carrier won at auction. “It pulls the whole room together, and it has a ton of storage space, which is important for such a tiny bedroom,” says Carrier.

The wallpaper is by Quadrille Fabrics in Jersey City. This particular design, Paradise Garden, was inspired by Peterson’s makeup bag. It’s also used for the curtains, closet doors, and the canopy above the bed.
