Deflating Puffy

Don’t mess with “Page Six” gossip girl Paula Froelich. At a party last week for her novel Mercury in Retrograde (which she plugged twice in her own column), Froelich talked about celeb push-back. After she printed a series of items on Sean “Diddy” Combs’s manners (“standing people up, being hours late, the usual Puffy stuff…”), they met. “Puffy goes, ‘Hey Paula, you better stop writing shit about me,’” she recalls. “And I said, ‘Well, stop doing it.’ And he said, ‘I’m serious, if you don’t stop, when you’re not looking, and you’re not expecting it, I’m gonna get you.’ So I said, ‘Okay, guess what I’ll do to you: I will slice your Achilles tendon, and when you’re writhing on the ground, I will step on your throat.’ And he nods and says, ‘Okay, that’s cool. I like that.’” A Diddy rep confirms he “loves it when anyone talks back to him.”
