Personal makeup shopper and makeup artist Raychel Wade, who has worked with everyone from Giorgio Armani Cosmetics to television’s Extreme Makeover, will give personalized parties in your home. For her “Hen” party ($650 for up to six women, $100 per person thereafter), each guest brings her own makeup kit, and Wade walks her through what works and what doesn’t, suggesting items to add—guiding her away from, say, strawberry Lip Smackers and toward Nars Lip Lacquers. She then gives each woman lessons and a mini-makeover while the others watch and chime in with questions. “It’s a time to be creative and daring—especially with your best friends around,” says Wade of the three-hour get-togethers. “We get the party going at home so they can go out on the town looking great.” Best of all, your friends won’t have to put a tip in anyone’s G-string.
