Is Donna Karan moving to the financial district? Word is, she recently toured the showroom for the Michael Shvo–marketed office-building conversion at 20 Pine Street. But this may not be apartment-hunting on her part— the designer, who owns a number of apartments in the city, may be considering a partnership with a residential developer. A source says she didn’t seem as interested in the actual apartments as she was in the way Armani Casa teamed up with the builder to design the condo’s interiors.
Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe’s Charles Street townhouse—on the market because of their pending divorce, and one of the highest-profile deals of the year—finally closed last week. Swank and Lowe are said to have closed a deal for $7.55 million. Their broker, Corcoran’s Robby Browne, would not respond to requests for comment.
