What Cup of Jo’s Joanna Goddard Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair, but the hand sanitizer and the electric toothbrush. We asked lifestyle guru and Cup of Jo founder Joanna Goddard which items she can’t live without.

My feet are a whopping size ten — and most shoes make them look even bigger. But Hobes are different. Made of soft suede, they’re almost like ballerina slippers and loafers had a love child. I wear the blush pair with jeans year-round, and they always manage to look great and even graceful.

The best part of this tint is that you don’t need any makeup skills to get it right — you just pat it on your lips and cheeks and go. The natural, moisturizing pop of pink stays on all day and is flattering on pretty much every skin tone (we actually tested it out on three different women on my blog).

Whenever my husband and I drink wine from these glasses at home, I feel like we’re transported to a little bar in Barcelona. They’re charming, light, and just feel good in your hand. They’re versatile for any sort of occasion, too. We always bring them out when friends stop by, and our kids drink water from them, too.

Maybe it’s the British side of me talking, but there’s something about pulling on a light water-resistant jacket that makes you feel like you’re heading out on an adventure. This one is my absolute favorite because it has a flattering silhouette, cozy hood, and comes in three colors (I have the black).

As my (very understanding) coworkers know, certain sounds in the office drive me bats: sneezing, coughing, the eating of any banana. There is a name for this madness, apparently (misophonia), and thankfully, there is a temporary cure. I’ve tried all different kinds of earplugs, but the ones that finally saved the day were Dubs. They lower the volume of ambient sound so you can concentrate, but they still let you turn and have a conversation with someone. Now I take them on planes, too.

A few years ago, my husband and I went on a trip with another couple. The first morning, I stumbled into the kitchen, where my friend was making eggs in a classic pajama set. She looked so beautiful and elegant that I was immediately converted. Eberjey makes the softest, most buttery version — which, unlike the cotton ones, never wrinkle. Great for padding around at home and on trips.
